have attracted international attention.
Energy transformation has become a new driving force for economic growth
In the coal mining subsidence area of Datong, Shanxi, solar panels are neatly arranged and shine under the reflection
of the rising sun. Since it was connected to the grid in 2016, this advanced technology photovoltaic demonstration
base built on a coal mining subsidence area has output more than 12 billion kWh of green electricity.
"Datong Coal Mining Subsidence Area Photovoltaic Base is my country's first advanced technology photovoltaic
demonstration base and a microcosm of my country's energy transformation." Yin Xulong, chairman of Yingli Energy
Development Co., Ltd., who attended the conference, said that the photovoltaic industry is entering the era of wisdom
from the era of high-efficiency technology explosion.
In response to global climate change, accelerating the green and low-carbon transformation of energy has become
an international consensus. Liu Zhenmin, China's special envoy for climate change affairs, said in his speech that
more than 150 countries in the world have proposed carbon neutrality goals, "the specific measures of each country
are different, but there is a common focus, namely energy transformation."
As an important energy base, Shanxi's green and low-carbon development is related to the effectiveness of the national
energy transformation.
Under the premise of fully guaranteeing energy security, Shanxi has been promoting transformation and development
and energy revolution in recent years by deepening reform and innovation, actively seizing new tracks, actively
deploying new business forms, continuously optimizing energy structure, and making wind power, photovoltaic,
biomass, hydrogen, methanol, geothermal, and pumped storage flourish. Energy consumption intensity continues to
decline, and the acceleration of the construction of a new energy system has achieved phased results.
In addition, experts suggest further deepening reforms in the energy field, such as improving the clean and efficient
utilization mechanism of coal, developing the energy "spot + futures" market, carrying out pilot projects for direct
power supply of new energy, developing new models such as "green electricity + advanced manufacturing, green
electricity + export trade, green electricity + computing power", exploring the establishment of energy supply
compensation mechanisms, inter-provincial interest linkage mechanisms for energy supply and demand,
and promoting key provinces that import coal-fired power to increase "supply chain cooperation" with coal-fired
power exporting provinces through counterpart cooperation, industrial transfer, joint construction of parks,
and enclave economy.
