Huangge Town, Nansha District, Guangzhou, a "hundred-billion-level automobile town", is accelerating the cultivation of productive services related to automobile equipment. On May 31, the first "high-end equipment and productive service industry cluster area - automobile equipment and new energy park" in Nansha, Guangzhou was unveiled in Huangge, and 10 first-batch automobile equipment and new energy companies including Guangzhou Fengqiao Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. settled in the park.
Huangge will take advantage of the demonstration effect of leading enterprises, take automobile equipment and new energy industries as the key objects of cultivation, and gather innovation and research and development, cultivation and incubation, pilot production, promotion and display, and industrial services in the park.
Lin Zhongming, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and mayor of Huangge Town, said that Huangge will continue to promote the establishment of a manufacturing town, strengthen the advantageous automobile industry cluster in extending, strengthening and supplementing the chain, promote GAC Toyota to accelerate the transformation of intelligent electricity, and parts companies to carry out technical transformation around new energy supporting and intelligentization, and focus on the upgrading of the service industry to accelerate the development carrying capacity, focus on building an international automobile exhibition and trade window on Shazai Island, actively mobilize market forces to participate in the development and construction of Shazai Island, cultivate and expand the comprehensive service base for cross-border automobile trade in Guangdong Bay, and strive to create an automobile after-sales service format integrating automobile logistics distribution, automobile display and sales, automobile export preparation, inspection and testing, motor vehicle registration, e-commerce live broadcast, etc.
Data shows that the output value of Nansha's automobile manufacturing industry has increased from 80 billion yuan in 2015 to about 200 billion yuan in 2023, breaking the 100 billion mark for five consecutive years. The automobile industry in the district is mainly concentrated in Huangge Town. With the establishment of GAC Toyota's vehicle project for nearly 20 years, the town has formed a complete industrial chain with vehicle manufacturing as the core, parts companies gathering, and start-up companies constantly nurturing. More than 100 automobile industry chain-related enterprises have settled in Datang Science and Technology Industrial Park alone.
Southern Finance All Media reporters learned from the unveiling ceremony that Datang Science and Technology Industrial Park mainly carries out the construction and operation of "high-end equipment and productive service industry clusters - automotive equipment and new energy industries". Zhu Juncheng, deputy general manager of Guangzhou Sixingshun Industrial Development Co., Ltd., the operator of the industrial park, introduced that the industrial park covers an area of 120,000 square meters, with a planned construction area of 360,000 square meters. The total investment in three phases is 1.2 billion yuan. With automobile supporting as the core, intelligent manufacturing, new generation information technology, new energy, and new materials as the key industrial directions, the goal is to create a benchmark industrial ecological park for intelligent manufacturing in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Guangzhou Fengqiao Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Fengqiao"), a representative of the first batch of companies to settle in the unveiling park, supplies robot flexible production lines for GAC Toyota and GAC Aion, is a system integrator with intelligent equipment for automobile manufacturing as the core. Zhang Jiachen, deputy general manager of Fengqiao, said in an interview that last year the company invested 160 million yuan to establish a research and development, manufacturing headquarters and high-end equipment manufacturing base in Nansha to serve OEMs including GAC, Volvo and BAIC. In the future, Fengqiao will continue to expand its investment and plans to establish a new company within three years to expand the upstream and downstream industrial chain of the automotive industry.
